What the tour is like
Keana Farms sits on a ridge above the Kahuku coast, in the quiet corner of the island past Turtle Bay. The tour starts with a safety briefing and a warm-up, then a UTV ride takes the group up the hill to the first platform. From there you work your way back down across eight lines, three sky bridges and two rappels. The lines are side by side, so you and a travel partner can zip together and talk the whole way down.

If you have a group that wants one real adrenaline activity and does not want to spend the whole day on it, yes. The tour is long enough to feel like a proper outing but short enough to leave the afternoon free. It is a good fit for families with kids 5 and up and for friends who want something more active than beaches. If anyone in your group is nervous about heights, the side-by-side lines and the guides make it easier than most people expect, but the sky bridges and rappels are part of the package.
Check the limits before you promise it to the kids. The 42-inch height rule is measured on the day, and children 5 to 14 need an adult who is also ziplining, not watching from the bottom.
How we fit it into a private North Shore day
Zipline tours run on a fixed schedule, and that is where a private tour helps: instead of a bus timetable, the rest of the day moves around your slot. Kahuku is the far end of the North Shore, so the usual order works in reverse, starting at the far end and working back toward Haleiwa:
- Morning: ziplining at Keana Farms. Book the earliest slot that suits your group and arrive 30 minutes before it.
- Lunch: Kahuku's food trucks. You are already next door. Shrimp plates are the classic order.
- Afternoon: Laniakea for sea turtles, or Sunset Beach. Turtles come ashore here most days. Keep your distance.
- Late afternoon: Haleiwa town. Galleries, shops and shave ice to finish.

Ziplining is not one of the default ten stops on our North Shore Adventure. You book the zipline directly with CLIMB Works, and we plan the day, the driving and the other stops around your time. If you would rather ride horses than zip, see our North Shore horseback guide or the ATV tour guide.
Make it a full day
A private tour means no group schedule: spend as long as you want at each stop and skip what does not suit you. The tour is $800 flat for a Toyota Sienna seating up to 6, or $1,000 for a Sprinter seating 7 to 14, for eight hours, with extra hours at $100 (Sienna) or $125 (Sprinter). Cancellation is free up to 72 hours before. The zipline is booked and paid separately with CLIMB Works.
