What the ride is actually like
This is not a trail through a rental-company parking lot. The farm sits on Waialua Beach Road, past Haleʻiwa on the quiet western stretch of the North Shore, and the route runs across working farmland out to the coast. You get head socks, a helmet and eye protection, a short safety video, and your own ATV, then a guide leads the group around the property.
Two details set it apart. First, you plant a native Hawaiian shoreline plant on the way round, which is how the farm rebuilds its dunes. Second, you meet the goats, sheep, cows, pigs and chickens along the route. It's an easy, funny, slightly muddy hour, and it works for a mixed group: teenagers drive, parents ride along, and nobody needs experience.

The weight limits are real, so check them before you book. If you're travelling with a 12- to 15-year-old who wants to drive, the medium ATV is the one to choose.
Book the ATV and the day around it Pick a ride time, then add a private North Shore tour on the same date. See ATV + tour options →Why pair it with a private tour
The ATV is an hour, and the farm is out past Haleʻiwa, well beyond where the tour buses turn around. Getting there on your own means a long drive each way and a fixed plan made from a hotel room. Our tour is 100% private and fully customizable: just your group, your pace and your stops, adjusted on the day for the wind, the waves and the weather.
Ride times run at 9:30, 10:30 and 11:30 AM and 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30 PM, with 8:30 AM by request. We build the day around whichever you choose.

Make it a full day
Morning ride (9:30, 10:30 or 11:30). We pick you up in Waikiki at 7:00, 8:00 or 9:00 AM and drive up through the middle of the island. A coffee or breakfast stop comes first: Mele Mele Bakery in Waialua is five minutes from the farm (get the mochi waffle), and Green World Coffee Farm is on the way up. After the ride, lunch is your call. Grab a Kua ʻAina burger or Foodland poke and eat on the sand, or sit down at Haleiwa Beach House right on the water (closed Tuesdays). Then we head east to Waimea Bay and whichever break is working, Pipeline or Sunset Beach, with turtles at Laniakea on the way. You're back in Waikiki about 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
Afternoon ride (1:30, 2:30 or 3:30). We go the other way round, leaving Waikiki at 10:00 AM: over the Pali and up the Windward coast past Kualoa Ranch, free macadamia nut tastings at Tropical Farms, then lunch at the original Giovanni's in Kahuku, where with us there's no waiting in line. From there it's Turtle Bay, the North Shore beaches heading toward the farm, your ride, and Haleʻiwa Town for shave ice before we head home through the middle of the island.

The tour is $800 flat for a Toyota Sienna seating up to 6, or $1,000 for a Sprinter seating 7 to 14. Extra hours are $100 (Sienna) or $125 (Sprinter), and cancellation is free up to 72 hours before. The ATV is booked and paid separately with the farm.
