A dinner-party style luau at the Waikiki Beach Marriott that tells the story of Waikiki's legendary eras through song, hula and Polynesian dance. No bus, no traffic: walk over, enjoy the show, and walk home.
On the buffet: a prime rib carving station, kalua pork, huli huli chicken, fresh island fish and haupia, with plenty of gluten-free and vegan options.

High energy and very funny, with a big fire knife finale. Held at Wet'n'Wild in Kapolei on the west side, so add transportation if you're staying in Waikiki.

Best food
A small luau on a rainforest estate above Honolulu, about 25 minutes from Waikiki. It feels like a family party in the forest, not a dinner show for hundreds. Guests rave about the food.
